The hydrogen project

Hydrogen energy is a promising candidate for carbon-based fuel under climate change, which is green, clean, renewable and eco-friendly. However, high costs and worrying security limit its application. To achieve hydrogen energy, we need new technologies, new materials, and new standards. The project aims to accelerate innovation, provide solutions for both scientific and industrial applications by developing new materials for hydrogen production and storage.

The Hydrogen Project plans four major sections: Hydrogen Electrolysis, Membrane and Diaphragm, Hydrogen Storage and Transportation, and Hydrogen Fuel Cell.

• Hydrogen Electrolysis section aims to develop low-cost, high-efficiency hydrogen electrolysis processes. New catalytic reaction routes are designed.
• Hydrogen Storage and Transportation section carries out experiment of high-strength composites and adsorption materials to store and transport hydrogen.
• Hydrogen Fuel Cell section optimizes efficiency performance. HFCs have higher efficiency and longer range compared with traditional engines.
• Membrane and Diaphragm section focuses on solutions for impurity filtration of seawater treatment and electrolyte ions separation of hydrogen electrolysis.
